CaseyGerry Partner and Head of Complex Litigation Named 2025 Daily Journal Top Plaintiff Lawyer
Gayle M. Blatt, partner and Head of Complex Litigation at CaseyGerry, has been named a Top Plaintiff Lawyer by the prestigious Los Angeles Daily Journal. This marks the second year she has received this recognition.
This honor comes after several busy years for the nationally recognized complex litigation attorney, who has been instrumental in securing multimillion- and billion-dollar class action verdicts for victims harmed by the actions of powerful companies.
Gayle’s commitment to consumer advocacy has led the seasoned plaintiff lawyer into numerous appointments to high-profile class action lawsuits. Her most recent appointments in 2023 and 2024 include: Co-Lead Counsel in the data breach litigation In Re: 23andMe, Inc. Customer Data Security Breach Litigation; CaseyGerry’s lead role in the firm’s appointment as Interim Co-Lead Class Counsel in In Re: Honda Civic Electronic Steering Litigation; and Interim Co-Lead Counsel in Cilluffo et al v. Subaru of America, Inc. and Subaru Corporation, among others.
In addition to her appointments, Gayle has been instrumental in facilitating successful resolutions for ongoing class actions in favor of the plaintiffs, including an April 2024 settlement agreement against US Fertility, LLC, over a 2020 data breach that exposed highly personal medical data of the company’s clients. Gayle served as Co-Lead Counsel for the plaintiffs, and the class action was resolved for $5.75 million. She also played a key role in the November 2023 settlement against Toyota in the ZF:TRW Airbag Control Litigation. Appointed to the Plaintiffs’ Steering Committee, Gayle was pivotal in ensuring that the defendants were held accountable for their failure to protect their customers. The case settled for $78.5 million.
