MGM Data Breach

On February 20th 2020, MGM Resorts in Las Vegas reported that they had experienced a data breach in the summer of 2019 that may have affected over 10.6 million guests. The news came after ZDNet, a technology news website published a report on the incident on Wednesday, February 19th. 

MGM reported the incident but understated the number of guests affected and how much of their information was hacked. However, it was reported that the personal data of 10.6 million guests were hacked including information such as name, address, phone number, and date of birth. 

MGM Resorts was alerted to this data breach in July 2019.  However, they only recently disclosed the breach to the public.
