PASADENA, Calif.—The City of Pasadena’s Public Works Department has officially wrapped up its large-scale effort to clear green waste debris from city streets following a recent windstorm and fire. As of Wednesday, February 5, all streets have been cleaned, ensuring safer and clearer roadways for residents.
City officials extend their gratitude to the community for their patience during this process and acknowledge the hard work of volunteers who participated in the cleanup. Special appreciation goes to the National Day Laborer Organizing Network and the Pasadena Community Job Center for their invaluable assistance in clearing the debris.
Now that the street cleanup is complete, residents should refrain from placing green waste materials on roadways. Homeowners who receive residential refuse services from the City of Pasadena should use their yard waste containers for any remaining green waste. Commercial establishments and apartment complexes are encouraged to coordinate with their landscapers or an approved franchise hauler for debris removal.
With the completion of street cleanup ahead of schedule, the Hahamongna Park drop-off location has been closed as of Wednesday, February 5.
For debris unrelated to green waste, such as damaged fences, swing sets, gates, or patio furniture, residents should contact one of the City of Pasadena’s approved franchise haulers for disposal. Additionally, residents using city refuse services can request bulky item pick-ups, provided the items meet the designated requirements.
Those dealing with fire-related debris should follow proper disposal guidelines. More details on ash and debris removal are available on the Eaton Fire Updates page.
For any inquiries regarding windstorm-related green waste disposal, residents can contact the City Service Center via email at CSC@CityOfPasadena.net or by calling (626) 744-7311. TTY users may dial 711 for assistance.
