CaseyGerry Partner Lauded by Local Business Publication
SAN DIEGO – Gayle M. Blatt, a partner with CaseyGerry and chair of its complex litigation practice, has been named one of San Diego’s Top Influential Women for 2020 by The Daily Transcript, a longstanding San Diego business publication. She is profiled in a special supplement which honors the most talented, innovative and hardworking women in San Diego.
According to The Transcript, the featured professionals are in real estate, construction, law, financial services, government and the nonprofit sector – all women who have made an impact in their industry and community.
A well deserving recipient of this latest accolade, Blatt concentrates her practice on consumer class action, data breach cases and serious personal injury cases. She joined CaseyGerry more than 30 years ago and has become well known for representing injured clients in a wide range of high profile, multi-million-dollar cases.
In addition to her extensive experience in personal injury cases and successful mass torts, she has held leadership positions in several data breach class actions such as the Sony Gaming Networks, and YAHOO! Data Breach class action litigations, She is currently part of the team litigating the data breach incident involving Citrix Systems. Additionally, she has been involved in the Apple Inc. litigation, the Intel Corp. CPU Marketing, Sales Practices and Products Liability Litigation (“Intel”), the Hydroxycut Marketing and Sales Practices Litigation, and the Incretin Mimetics Product Liability Litigation.
She has worked with CaseyGerry managing partner, David S. Casey, Jr. on multiple large cases, among them the Volkswagen diesel emissions scandal litigation which settled for more than $15 billion, and the Wells Fargo Collateral Protection Insurance Class Action Suit which settled for $393.5 million.
Highly involved in the community, she is the current president of the San Diego County Bar Association Foundation. She also serves as a board member of the Tom Homann Law Association Foundation, and on the Board of Trustees of California Western School of Law. She is a member of the Consumer Attorneys of California President’s Club and a member of the Leader’s Forum of the American Association for Justice. Gayle is a Sustaining Member of the Lawyers Club of San Diego, a member of the Consumer Attorneys of San Diego, where she previously served as president.
