CaseyGerry Partner Named one of San Diego’s Top 50 Influential Leaders

CaseyGerry partner Frederick Schenk was recently named one of The Daily Transcript’s Top 50 Influential Leaders in San Diego for 2019. This annual list honors the San Diego business professionals doing the most cutting-edge work in real estate, construction, development, law, finance, nonprofits and the public sector.

Frederick Schenk has been with Casey Gerry for over 35 years, concentrating his practice on products liability, serious personal injury and asbestos law.  He is especially known for his pioneering work in asbestos litigation and achieved the largest verdict ever in San Diego against an asbestos manufacturer  – Owens Corning Fiberglass – obtaining a $2.4 million verdict.

Additionally, his unique knowledge in the area of automobile collision litigation was recognized when he was selected as a consulting editor for Matthew Bender’s Legal Publication, “Pleading and Practice Vol. 8”, on Automobiles. He was also is co-author of LexisNexis Publishing’s, “California Automobile Collision Handbook.”

Keenly focused on giving back to his community, he serves on the  Board of Directors for 22nd District Agricultural Association (San Diego County Fair Board). Appointed by Gov. Jerry Brown in 2011, he has a long-time association with the Fair Board, and was appointed previously by former Governor Gray Davis, serving from 2002 to 2006. He also served as volunteer President of the Board between 2013 to 2016.
