Greater New York Mutual Insurance Company Data Breach

Greater New York Mutual Insurance Company reported a data security incident that affected current and past employees of the company and its affiliates. In addition, members of the Board of Directors and their dependents were also impacted. Compromised information included identifying information such as, Social Security Number, driver’s license number, medical and financial information.

According to the notice of breach filed with the Office of the Maine Attorney General, the company became aware of the breach in June of 2021. Their investigation revealed that their systems were compromised by an unauthorized third party on or around May 23, 2021.
