Transformco Data Breach

Transform SR Holding Management LLC also known as Transformco has filed a notice of data breach with the California State Office of the Attorney General. The breach may have compromised the sensitive data of Transformco employees.

Transformco is one of the largest retail companies in the country with several well-known brands such as Sears and Kmart. The company and its subsidiaries employ almost 90,000 people nationwide.

According to the notice of breach, the company became aware of unusual activity on their servers and launched an investigation. The investigation showed that some of the computer servers were accessed by an unauthorized party between June 3, 2021, and June 15, 2021.

Furthermore, the investigation showed that the malicious party gained access to sensitive data including employees’ Social Security numbers, financial account information and healthcare insurance information. Sensitive data of both past and current employees’ may have been compromised in this incident.

A notice of breach has been sent out to those potentially affected, however, the report does not indicate how many individuals have been impacted by the breach.
