The law firm of CaseyGerry is investigating a data breach that may have compromised sensitive personal information of at least 210,000 individuals.
Nevada Restaurant Services Inc., a restaurant management consultant services provider based out of Las Vegas, Nevada, discovered that their computer systems had been accessed by an unauthorized party.
According to the notice of breach filed with the California Attorney General’s Office, and the Office of the Maine Attorney General, the company launched an investigation after the discovery of malware in their computer systems. The incident was identified in January 2021. The investigation revealed that the unauthorized party gained access to their computer systems on or before January 16, 2021, and copied individuals’ sensitive information including, name, Social Security number and driver’s license number.
