CASEY GERRY STAFFER ELECTED TO ALA BOARD

SAN DIEGO, Calif. – Liz Mackres, firm administrator for Casey Gerry Schenk Francavilla Blatt & Penfield, has been elected secretary of the board of directors of the Association of Legal Administrators for the 2006-2007 term.

Mackres has been an active member of ALA since 2002. Originally hired as the firm’s system manager, she has been with Casey Gerry since 1989. She has since climbed the ranks to oversee firm operations — directing human resources, insurance and cash management at the 27 employee firm.

Mackres was previously a systems manager for the San Diego Credit Association. She is a resident of the El Cajon neighborhood of San Diego.

Headquartered in Lincolnshire, Ill., the Association of Legal Administrators is a national organization whose mission is to improve the quality of management in legal services organizations; promote and enhance the competence and professionalism of legal administrators and all members of the management team; and represent professional legal management and managers to the legal community and to the community at large.

Casey Gerry, located at 110 Laurel St. in Banker’s Hill, is the oldest plaintiffs’ law firm in San Diego.

The firm’s 12 attorneys practice in various areas, including personal injury, pharmaceutical drug, asbestos litigation and products liability.
