Total Health Care Data Breach

CaseyGerry is investigating a data breach that may have affected over 220,000 Total Health Care members and physician partners.

According to an article in HIPPA Journal posted on April 13, 2021, Total Health Care Inc., a medical health plan provider suffered a breach that affected several employee email accounts sometime between December 16, 2020 and February 5, 2021.  Further, the article states that hackers may have gained access to the sensitive data of 221,454 individuals.

Compromised information included names, Social Security numbers, dates of birth, member IDs, claims information and addresses.

Total Health Care Inc. is a medical plan provider. The company is headquartered in Detroit, MI and works with over 2650 health care centers and 1850 primary care physicians.
