Milestone Robo-calling Lawsuit Settled by San Diego Lawyer

Mark Ankcorn, of counsel to CaseyGerry, recently settled a class action suit with Bank of America for more than $32 million.

The suit charged that the bank violated federal law by harrassing consumers repeatedly with phone calls over mortgage and credit card debt. Procceds will go to more thant eight million consumers in the class.

According to he Federal Trade Commission, the practice of robo-calling is on the increase due to new technologies that allow companies to inexpensively make thousands of calls per minute.

For those eligible to file a claim, coorespondence will be sent out once the settlement is officially approved.
