Midvale Indemnity Company Data Breach

CaseyGerry is investigating a data security attack on Midvale Indemnity Company, a home and auto insurance provider, that occurred between January 19, 2021, and January 29, 2021.

According to the breach notification, unauthorized parties may have gained access to driver’s license numbers using personal information like names and addresses acquired elsewhere. The hackers have gained access to driver’s license numbers by requesting quotes through the company’s quoting platform.

The company believes that the compromised data may have been used or could be used to file for unemployment benefits.
