FPI Management Data Breach

FPI Management, a multifamily property management company based in California has reported a data breach that may have compromised customer data.

According to the notice of breach filed with the California Office of the Attorney General, the company learned of the breach on August 14, 2020. FPI learned that an unauthorized third party gained access to the FPI network systems. After further investigation, the company found that a highly sensitive information was accessed by the hackers.

Compromised data included:

  • Name
  • Date of birth
  • Social Security number
  • Driver’s License number
  • Passport number
  • Tax ID number

Financial information such as:

  • Bank or credit card information
  • Digital signature
  • and online credentials.

Medical information may have also been compromised.

It currently manages over 130,000 units including Market Rate Housing, Affordable Housing, Senior Housing and more.
