Dickey’s BBQ Releases List of California Locations Affected by Data Breach

In October 2020, CaseyGerry reported on the Dickey’s Data Breach that occurred between mid-2019 and late-2020, compromising over three million credit card accounts nationwide. It was initially reported that over 150 locations across the country were affected with Arizona and California hit the hardest.

After further investigation, Dickey’s BBQ reported that in California, the breach occurred between June 2019 and November 2020. Their investigation found that an unauthorized code had been installed in the POS systems of 55 locations. However, it is possible that other locations were affected but updates to those POS systems before the investigation rendered analysis inconclusive.

Dickey’s BBQ has released more information on the breach listing the locations in California that may have been compromised. Those who visited a Dickey’s BBQ restaurant between June 2019 and November 2020 can now visit https://www.dickeys.com/payment-card-notification to learn if their personal information is at risk.
