CaseyGerry Attorney Named One of 50 Top Influential Leaders in San Diego

SAN DIEGO (September 9, 2019) Frederick Schenk, a longtime CaseyGerry partner, was recently named one of 50 Influential Leaders in San Diego by The Daily Transcript, a leading local business publication. The annual list, released in a special supplement published Sept. 4, 2019, covers a diverse mix of industries and profiles the city’s influential business leaders – with a goal of honoring professionals doing the most cutting-edge work in real estate, construction, development, law, finance and the public sector.

Schenk, who has been with CaseyGerry for 36 years, concentrates his practice on serious personal injury and products liability. He achieved the largest verdict ever in San Diego against an asbestos manufacturer – Owens Corning Fiberglass – obtaining a $2.4 million verdict in general and punitive damages. In addition, his knowledge in the area of automobile collision litigation was recognized when he was selected as a consulting editor for Matthew Bender’s Legal Publication, “Pleading and Practice Vol. 8”, on Automobiles. He was also co-author of LexisNexis Publishing’s, “California Automobile Collision Handbook.”

He has served on the board of directors of the 22nd District Agricultural Association (San Diego County Fair Board) since 2011 and is a past-president of that organization. In addition, Schenk serves on the board of visitors of the USD School of Law and is the longest serving San Diego attorney on the American Association for Justice’s (AAJ) board of governors. He is a diplomate in the National Academy of Advocacy and serves on the executive of the San Diego Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates. Schenk also served as president of the Consumer Attorneys of San Diego (CASD).
