CASEY GERRY’S GAYLE BLATT NAMED PRESIDENT OF CONSUMER ATTORNEYS OF SAN DIEGO

SAN DIEGO, Calif. — Gayle M. Blatt — a partner with Casey Gerry Schenk Francavilla Blatt & Penfield — has been appointed president of the Consumer Attorneys of San Diego (CASD), an organization of trial lawyers whose focus is to preserve and protect the legal rights of consumers.

She was officially inducted as president at CASD’s annual board installation event on Jan. 11 at the Manchester Grand Hyatt.

As president, Blatt will spearhead CASD’s board of directors for a one-year term.

According to David Casey Jr., Casey Gerry’s senior partner, Blatt is a long-time CASD board member and a two-time recipient of the organization’s “Outstanding Trial Lawyer” award. “We are honored that she will represent our firm and oversee this important organization. She offers a breadth of experience and dedication to the profession that will serve CASD well.”

Blatt, who embarked on her law career at Casey Gerry more than 20 years ago, now concentrates her practice on personal injury, pharmaceutical and product liability litigation. Earning numerous multi-million dollar results for her clients, she is especially active in product liability cases.

In addition, she is a member of the American Association for Justice (formerly the Association of Trial Lawyers of America), the Consumer Attorneys of California and the San Diego County Bar Association.

A resident of the University City, she services on the board of directors of the Lawrence Family Jewish Community Center. Blatt earned her bachelor’s degree from Hofstra University in New York and her JD (cum laude) from California Western School of Law.

Casey Gerry was established in 1947, and is the oldest plaintiffs’ law firm in San Diego. The firm’s 11 attorneys practice in numerous areas, including personal injury, product liability and pharmaceutical litigation. The firm is located at 110 Laurel St. in the Banker’s Hill neighborhood of San Diego.
