CASEY GERRY PARTNERS NAMED AMONG SAN DIEGO’S TOP ATTORNEYS OF 2007

SAN DIEGO, Calif. – The “San Diego Daily Transcript” recently released its annual listing of San Diego’s “Top Attorneys,” naming Casey Gerry partners Robert J. Francavilla, with expertise in highway design and automobile products liability, and Frederick Schenk, who specializes in asbestos litigation, as among San Diego’s top legal professionals.

The Newspaper’s “Top Attorney’s of 2007” is the culmination of a lengthy voting process in which San Diego County lawyers were balloted and asked who amongst their peers was worthy of recognition.

Says firm senior partner David S. Casey Jr., “Robert and Fred have each spent more than 20 years – the majority of their careers – providing their expertise to our firm and are well deserving of this tribute.” Among the pair’s many accomplishments:

o Carmel Valley resident Robert J. Francavilla was also recently listed in “Super Lawyers Magazine,” an annual publication which identifies the top five percent of attorneys in select states and cities through polling, peer evaluations and independent research. With a trial practice that focuses on all aspects of serious personal injury and products liability, Francavilla has attained multi-million dollar results in cases dealing with highway design, automobile accidents and product and premises liability. He has received numerous honors — and was elected president of the Consumer Attorneys of San Diego in 2005, as well as receiving that organization’s “Outstanding Trial Lawyer Award” on four separate occasions. Francavilla is also a member of the prestigious American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA).

o Frederick Schenk, also a resident of Carmel Valley, has extensive experience in products liability, personal injury, drug litigation and asbestos law, and received the largest verdict in San Diego County history against an asbestos manufacturer. He has been recognized by “San Diego Magazine” as the top local plaintiffs’ personal injury attorney specializing in asbestos litigation, and also named an “Outstanding Trial Lawyer” by the Consumer Attorney’s of San Diego (CASD). In addition, he served as CASD president, as president and board member of the Civil Justice Foundation, and was founding co-chair of the Cardozo Society of the United Jewish Federation, which promotes Jewish learning, continuing legal education, and networking for Jewish attorneys in San Diego.

Both Francavilla and Schenk were also recently listed amongst “The Best Lawyer’s in America,” the oldest and most respected peer review publication in the legal professions.
