20/20 Hearing Care Network Data Breach

CaseyGerry is investigating a data breach reported by 20/20 Hearing Care Network, Inc., a hearing care service provider.

According to the notice of breach sent out, the company discovered that their systems were accessed by an unauthorized party on January 11, 2021. Files containing sensitive information may have been accessed and/or deleted. Identifiable and protected information of current and past patients may have been exposed including, Social Security number, date of birth, member identification number and health insurance information.

On June 2, 2021, the HIPPA Journal reported that more than 3.2 million individuals may have been affected by the 20/20 Hearing Care Network breach.
