20/20 Eye Care Network Data Breach

According to the notice of breach sent out by 20/20 Eye Care Network, Inc., on January 11, 2021, the company discovered that an unauthorized party had gained access to the company systems which contained highly sensitive data of current and past patients. The compromised information included, Social Security numbers, date of birth, and more.

The Healthcare Data Breach Report posted by www.calhipaa.com called the 20/20 Eye Care Network data breach, the biggest healthcare breach of April 2021. Becker’s Health IT reported that hackers deleted the files from the company network after accessing them.
